Legal requirements
- HSE Notification of Intention to Marry: both partners must attend in person at a Civil Registration Office, at least 3 months before the ceremony, with passports and a €200 fee. Marriage Registration Form (MRF) is issued and must be presented to your solemniser before the wedding.
- Foreign couples: same 3-month rule, plus apostilled birth certificates and any prior divorce/death paperwork.
